Planning, Engineering and Environmental Services

Dredging & Marine Consultants, LLC (DMC) is a full-service engineering and environmental consulting company that provides Planning, Engineering, Environmental, Permitting and Inspection services. DMC’s team of professional coastal and marine engineers, biologists, ecologists and field inspectors has a combined 100+ years of technical experience in the planning and design of public and private projects in all types of Florida environments extending from freshwater to estuarine and coastal systems.

Our planning and management capabilities extend from feasibility assessment, funding assistance to bid preparation where we utilize our engineers and environmental scientists to serve as a check and balance system, which allows us to truly evaluate projects with a holistic approach. Our expertise in dredging design and material management extends to all types of sediment removal from canals, stormwater ponds, reservoirs, lakes, creeks, estuaries and along rivers and coastal areas. As coastal and marine engineers we offer unparalleled expertise on shoreline stabilization and protection, marinas, bulkheads, seawalls, boardwalks, docks and ramps. We understand and incorporate the harsh coastal environments such as storms, hurrinaces and salt water impacts to structures. DMC specializes in ADA compliant structures, parks and recreation planning and minimizing environmental impacts. DMC also provides stormwater and drainage master plans, permitting, pond design and 100-year flood studies for residential, commercial, industrial and Public Park planning and development. This includes stormwater retrofits with new emerging technologies.

Almost every project that DMC designs requires jurisdictional and regulatory agency permitting. This often involves local state or federal entities such as cities, counties, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Water Management Districts, National Marine Fisheries, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Department of Transportation and United States Army Corps of Engineers. We have built a great rapport with these agencies for efficient permit processing. In addition to regulatory agency coordination, DMC offers mitigation planning and monitoring, when required. Our environmental ecological services include ecological resource and wetland surveys, environmental monitoring and compliance, Threatened and Endangered Species survey and relocation, water quality and sediment collection and laboratory analyses. Most importantly, DMC offers clients efficiency and value through a unique complement of engineers and environmental scientists working together on every project to deliver projects efficiently, on time and budget.
